So I reviewed the website Picnik, which includes a photo editing program. It includes many different tools to edit with including different effects like tones and colors as well as editing software and touch-up tools. You can also add in text and shapes to enhance the photo, but I feel they take away from it. They look fake and silly with just about any photo as well. Although, I was impressed by how easy it was to use the program. This is probably the best feature of the program.
I would like them to add the feature to change specific parts of the photo and to add in a color picker. These features may be in the paid version, for only $25.00, but they aren’t in the free version.
PC Magazine gave Picnik the honor of site of the week in December 2007, and the Kansas City Star gave it a thumbs up.

Another photo editor I would recommend would be Adobe Photoshop CS3. It has all these features and more and the approximate cost is $650.00. It is used professionally by photo editors and is widely respected in the design world.

This is an image that I made in Picnik. Compared to the original, which was very colorful, this is a major change. I used a sepia tone filter and I added in the white dots to make it look old.

Overall, I would give this program a mixed review. I liked how easy it was to use, but I feel that it should have had more features to get a really good review. But in the end, I would give it thumbs up.
